Q: Is ViaTAP compatible with Altera® USB-Blaster®?
Answer:
Yes, ViaTAP is hardware (pinout and electrically) compatible with Altera ByteBlaster. You cannot use ViaTAP with Altera software directly (ByteBlaster is parallel port JTAG interface, ViaTAP uses USB), but you can use SVF functionality of JTAGTest to program devices from Altera Quartus.Related links
