Q: What is On-board programming (OBP)?

Answer:

On-board programming refers to the programming of target memory on a board through boundary scan compliant devices on the board or in-circuit-emulation JTAG port.The target flash/eeprom memory to be programmed itself does not have to be IEEE 1149.1 compliant.
